Our Response

New York is facing extraordinary challenges as the center of COVID-19 outbreak in the US.  During this time of crisis, The Bridge is working hard to ensure that our clients and staff remain safe and healthy.  With more people testing positive in New York each day, we as an agency face both staff and supply shortages. Our staff has stepped up, working extra shifts and putting themselves on the front line to make sure that the needs of our clients are being met to the greatest extent possible.

In the early weeks of the epidemic, we moved quickly to give as many staff as possible the ability to work remotely.   Based on new state guidelines, we have been able to move much of our clinical work to a telehealth modality.  We revised many of our protocols – including how we monitor medication in our residences - to insure that any in-person contact is as safe as possible. We are ensuring that our residential programs have staff on site and remain safe, and that all our clients have access to food and medications.

Bridge senior staff continues to meet daily to plan our response to the virus and is working closely with all of our sites to insure they have the resources they need.

We are providing vital services to our very vulnerable clients during these difficult times. Your help is greatly appreciated.
